The Collection’s member shows are sure-fire hits for visitors toNew York City. In addition to all these well loved favourites, The Collection announced three new member shows for Broadway’s fall season. In addition to the already established mega-hit The Book of Mormon, there are new productions of Godspell and The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess.

From Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the creators of South Park, and Bobby Lopez, co-creator of Avenue Q, comes The Book of Mormon, a new Broadway musical that The New York Times calls “the best musical of this century. The kind of newborn, old-fashioned, pleasure-giving musical that our grandparents told us left them walking on air. Heaven on Broadway.” The Book of Mormon was the winner of nine 2011 Tony Awards including Best Musical.

Godspell is the beloved classic from Stephen Schwartz, the Grammy and Academy Award-winning composer of Wicked and Pippin, and comes to Broadway this fall in a brand new, intimately staged, one-of-a-kind production. Godspell features a Tony-nominated score filled with the popular hits “Day by Day,” “Learn Your Lessons Well,” and “Turn Back, O Man” and tells a timeless tale of friendship, loyalty and love that has touched the hearts of countless theatergoers all over the world.

The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess is coming to Broadway in a new production this fall featuring internationally renowned stars Audra McDonald as Bess, Norm Lewis as Porgy, and David Alan Grier as Sporting Life. This heartbreaking love story boasts some of the most famous and beloved works from the Great American Songbook, including “Summertime,” “Bess, You Is My Woman,” “It Ain’t Necessarily So,” and “I Loves You, Porgy.”
